Copper Windings

All Brandon & Clark regulator windings are produced using copper conductor. Our materials selection philosophy is: use the highest quality materials in the repair or redesign of equipment. This philosophy enables us to help customers avoid unnecessary losses and maximize the life of their equipment.

Brandon & Clark also has experienced engineers on staff that are capable of converting your polemount transformer from aluminum windings to copper windings. Copper windings offer advantages in transformer losses and mechanical strength which is particularly important for industrial applications where large motor starting loads are present.

Winding Facilities

Brandon & Clark's windings are produced in a climate controlled, humidity stabilized winding facility. This 5,000 square foot facility is separated from the rest of the shop areas to prevent winding contamination. Our winding facility houses eight winding machines and has a five ton hoist to assist with safe coil handling. The winding facility also houses our state of the art coil up-ending process which allows us to provide our customers with the strictest coil handling procedures in the industry.

Environmentally Friendly

Since 2005, Brandon & Clark has offered their customers the option to fill & retro-fill their electrical equipment with an environmentally friendly and EPA approved fluid called FR3®. Envirotemp FR3® fluid is made from food grade seed oils and food grade performance enhancing additives, which makes it completely biodegradable. FR3® fluid can help to extend the life of your transformer's insulation and improves the transformer's fire resistancy, through higher flash and fire points. Cooper Power Systems Authorized Service Center

Brandon & Clark, Inc. became a Cooper Power Systems Authorized Service Center in 2004, after going though Cooper's rigorous authorization process. The Cooper authorization process included certification that our center's testing standards matched Cooper's testing standards. Our employees were also required to complete Cooper's Certified Technician programs and pass all safety evaluations.
