Our History

Brandon & Clark, Inc. was founded on April 1, 1950 as an electric motor repair and field service company by Basil Brandon along with two stepsons, Bob and Bill Clark. Mr. Brandon, a retired salesman, provided the financing, management, and sales experience, while Bob and Bill provided the electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Since opening, the company has expanded to provide sales and service for electric motors, transformers, electrical equipment, air compressors, thermal imaging, industrial wiring, system integration, and custom controls for all areas of industry.

Initially servicing West Texas & Eastern New Mexico, the company has grown into a regional electrical solution center serving the Southwestern United States. Headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, Brandon & Clark, Inc. has grown from its humble beginnings in a 25' x 75' building with 3 employees to a corporation with 6 locations and 200 employees. A family owned and operated business, now entering its third generation of leadership; we are still committed to the customer service and quality principles set forth by our founders.

The purpose of our environmental policy is to achieve total customer satisfaction while minimizing any environmental effects and exploitation of natural resources which derive from the processes used and products produced by us.

We will give our full cooperation to all authorities in order to meet legislation demands, all standards, regulations and conditions which relate to the preservation of the environment, health and safety.

Brandon and Clark, Inc. is committed to the development and maintenance of work procedure standards, environment preservation, and health and safety management.

We will cultivate our employees and managers' knowledge by instruction, training and assimilation so that together we maintain and preserve our products high standards while keeping a healthy and environmentally responsible work environment.

We are compliant with DOE, EPA, TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) in air quality emissions, waste water handling, and energy efficiency.

Recycling is our Concerted Effort to Reduce our Carbon Footprint

We recognize that all aspects of industry have an impact upon the earth. Brandon and Clark, Inc. has chosen to minimize our impact and carbon footprint by continuing our 60 year old tradition of recycling and efficient productions methods.

Our efforts include:

  • Separate and recycle all metals
  • Separate and recycle wood, cardboard and paper.
  • Recycle waste oil
  • Responsibly dispose of:
    • Fluorescent bulbs
    • Batteries
    • Aerosol cans
    • Capacitors
    • Ballasts
  • The copper we harvest is smelted and returned to us as a new product that is used in our motor and transformer rewinds, therefore reducing the need the for mining new copper.
  • We use only Continuous Use Solvents. Our parts washers are maintained by Safety Clean and the solvents are filtered and reused so there is no disposal of hazardous chemicals from our operations.
  • We only use natural and biodegradable orange peel based solvents in conjunction with hot high pressure water to wash off parts.

FR3 Oil Used to Refill Repaired Transformers

We offer our customers the environmentally friendly option of FR3 fluid in the repairing and retrofilling of transformers. The Envirotemp® FR3™ fluid is a soy bean oil based product, that is 100% biodegradable and is non-bioaccumulating.
